AWS migration services, from your data center or another cloud
We assess what you run today, build the business case and move it to AWS: from physical data centers, colocation, VMware, Azure or Google Cloud. Eligible migrations can be fully or partially funded by AWS and Averium, and the new environment is cost-optimized from the first bill.
From first inventory to the last cutover
Migration assessment
Inventory of servers, databases and dependencies, a right-sized AWS target, TCO and a business case you can take to finance.
Data center & VMware exit
Physical servers, colocation and VMware moved to EC2 or onto managed services, planned in waves around your maintenance windows.
Azure & Google Cloud to AWS
Service-by-service mapping of VMs, managed databases, Kubernetes, storage and identity, with a cutover plan that avoids a big-bang switch.
Database migration
Replication-based moves with AWS DMS, including engine changes such as SQL Server or Oracle to Aurora PostgreSQL where it removes licensing cost.
Landing zone first
A multi-account AWS foundation with networking, identity, logging and guardrails in place before the first workload lands.
Optimized from day one
Migrated workloads go straight onto the Averium platform: rightsizing, Savings Plans and cost alerts from the first AWS bill.
Fully or partially funded migrations
AWS funds migrations it expects to grow, but only through a Partner. We check which programs fit your move, prepare the paperwork and submit it.
AWS programs
Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)
Credits and partner funding for the assess, mobilize and migrate phases, based on the projected AWS spend of the migrated workloads.
Migration Evaluator
A free AWS assessment of your on-premises estate that produces a data-driven business case.
Optimization and Licensing Assessment (OLA)
A free AWS review of Windows Server and SQL Server licensing before you move, so you don't carry over licenses you don't need.
Averium
Where the work lowers your AWS bill, part of Averium's fee is recovered from those savings instead of being invoiced upfront. The split is fixed in the statement of work before anything starts.
Only an AWS Partner can request AWS funding. We prepare and submit the application; AWS makes the final award. How AWS funding works
From first call to done
- 1
Discovery & assessment
We map servers, data and dependencies and size the AWS target.
- 2
Business case & funding
TCO, migration plan and the MAP application filed as your AWS Partner.
- 3
Landing zone & pilot
Foundation built, a first low-risk wave moved and validated.
- 4
Migration waves
Replication-based moves with short, planned cutover windows.
- 5
Optimize & hand over
Rightsizing, commitments and documentation; all infrastructure as code in your accounts.
AWS Partner. Certified engineers. Paid from results.
The team that builds it also runs the FinOps platform that keeps it cost-efficient afterwards.
- AWS-certified architects and DevOps engineers (Solutions Architect and DevOps Engineer Professional)
- We file the funding paperwork as your AWS Partner, so you don't have to work out the programs yourself
- FinOps from the first bill, so the move doesn't end in bill shock
- Everything we build is infrastructure as code in your own AWS accounts
Common questions
Who pays for the migration?+
Eligible migrations can be partially or fully funded. AWS programs such as MAP cover part of the assessment, planning and migration, and Averium can recover part of its own fee from the savings the new environment produces instead of invoicing it upfront. The split depends on the size of the workload and is written into the statement of work before work starts.
Can you migrate us from Azure or Google Cloud?+
Yes. Moves from another cloud follow the same process as a data center exit: inventory, a service-by-service mapping to AWS equivalents, then migration in waves. They are also eligible for MAP.
Will we have downtime?+
Most workloads move by replication (AWS Application Migration Service for servers, AWS DMS for databases), so the final cutover is a short, planned window rather than a long outage.
We already run some workloads on AWS. Can we still use MAP?+
Yes, for workloads that move to AWS from somewhere else. Moving resources between AWS accounts is not a migration and doesn't qualify, and resources launched before the MAP agreement don't count, so talk to us before you start.
What happens after the migration?+
The new environment is connected to the Averium platform from day one: cost visibility, rightsizing, Savings Plans and anomaly alerts. You can keep us on for FinOps and DevOps, or take over fully. Everything is documented and in your accounts.
