AWS infrastructure

AWS infrastructure built to best practices

Infrastructure designed against the AWS Well-Architected Framework (security, reliability, performance, cost and sustainability) and delivered as code your team owns. We build new foundations and fix existing ones.

What's included

A foundation you won't have to rebuild

Well-Architected review

A structured review of your workloads against the six pillars, with a prioritized list of risks and the fixes for each.

Multi-account landing zone

AWS Organizations or Control Tower, service control policies, single sign-on and account vending, so new teams start inside guardrails.

Networking

VPC design, Transit Gateway, private connectivity to on-premises and egress paths chosen with data transfer costs in mind.

Infrastructure as code

Terraform or AWS CDK modules with CI pipelines, so every environment is reproducible and every change is reviewed.

Backup & disaster recovery

AWS Backup policies, cross-region copies and recovery targets that are actually tested, plus AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery where it fits.

Security baseline

CloudTrail, AWS Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub and KMS switched on and wired to alerts from the first day.

Funding

Funding for getting the foundations right

Infrastructure work is funded when it fixes risks AWS cares about or when it is part of a move to AWS.

AWS programs

  • Well-Architected Partner reviews

Reviews run by an AWS Partner can qualify for AWS credits toward fixing the high-risk issues they find.

  • Migration Acceleration Program (MAP)

When the landing zone is built as part of a migration, it falls under the migration's mobilize phase and its funding.

Averium

Where the work lowers your AWS bill, part of Averium's fee is recovered from those savings instead of being invoiced upfront. The split is fixed in the statement of work before anything starts.

Only an AWS Partner can request AWS funding. We prepare and submit the application; AWS makes the final award. How AWS funding works

How it works

From first call to done

  1. 1

    Review

Well-Architected review of what exists, or requirements for what's new.

  2. 2

    Prioritize

Risks ranked by impact, with effort and cost for each fix.

  3. 3

    Build

Infrastructure as code, reviewed and deployed through pipelines.

  4. 4

    Verify & hand over

Recovery tested, runbooks written, your team trained.

Why Averium

AWS Partner. Certified engineers. Paid from results.

The team that builds it also runs the FinOps platform that keeps it cost-efficient afterwards.

  • Solutions Architect Professional and DevOps Engineer Professional certified engineers
  • Every design is costed before it's built, not after the first bill
  • Infrastructure as code in your accounts, with no proprietary tooling to lock you in
  • We can stay on for FinOps and operations, or hand everything over
FAQ

Common questions

What is a Well-Architected review?+

A structured review of a workload against AWS's six pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization and sustainability. The output is a list of risks ranked by severity and a plan to fix them.

Terraform or CDK?+

Whichever your team will maintain. We default to Terraform for multi-team estates and use AWS CDK where your engineers already work in TypeScript or Python.

Can you work in our existing AWS accounts?+

Yes. Most projects start with an existing estate. We import what's there into code where it makes sense and change it in place, without a rebuild.

Can AWS fund this work?+

Partly, in two cases: a Well-Architected review by a Partner can qualify for AWS credits toward fixing what it finds, and a landing zone built as part of a migration is covered by the migration's MAP funding. AWS makes the final decision on every award.
