AWS FinOps consulting, paid from the savings
We set up a FinOps practice the way the FinOps Framework describes it (inform, optimize, operate) and run it on the Averium platform. You pay a share of the savings we deliver, not an hourly rate.
A FinOps practice, not a one-off report
Cost allocation & tagging
A tag policy your teams can follow, plus rules-based virtual tags that allocate the spend nobody tagged.
Showback & unit economics
Cost per team, product and environment, and cost per customer or transaction where the data allows it.
Budgets & anomaly alerts
Monthly budgets with forecast alerts and daily anomaly detection, sent to the people who can act on them.
Commitments
Savings Plans sized to your steady usage, never to your peaks, and backed by our commitment cashback guarantee on managed plans.
Waste & rightsizing
Idle resources, oversized instances and orphaned storage found and fixed, with your approval or on autopilot.
Governance & cadence
Monthly reviews, named owners and KPIs, so savings stay saved after the first clean-up.
No upfront cost
FinOps should pay for itself, so that's how we charge for it.
Averium
The estimate is free. After that, Averium earns a success fee on the savings we actually deliver, reproducible in your own Cost Explorer. Savings you already had are never charged.

Common questions
How is this different from the Averium platform?+
The platform is the tooling; FinOps consulting is the practice around it: allocation rules, budgets, reviews and decisions agreed with your teams. Managed clients get both.
What do we pay?+
A success fee on delivered savings. There's no setup fee and no subscription, and the rate is agreed per account and shown on every invoice. Details are on the pricing page.
What is the FinOps Framework?+
The FinOps Foundation's model for running cloud cost management as a practice: an inform phase (visibility and allocation), an optimize phase (rates and usage) and an operate phase (governance and continuous improvement).
Do we need to fix our tagging first?+
No. Virtual tags allocate untagged spend by rules on accounts, services and resource names, so reporting works from day one while tagging improves in the background.
